Route Searching

Can I specify which route to take?

Searches cannot specify any particular route.
If you wish to specify a location to pass through, tap ‘Via’ on the My Route top screen and specify a pass-through location in your search.
You can also specify which forms of public transport to use in your Route Searching by tapping either the ‘Route Searching Conditions’ icon or ‘Other.’

The route I envisioned is not being displayed. Why?

Depending on the settings selected in ‘Route Searching Conditions’ your search may not produce any routes.
Tap ‘Other’ in ‘Route Searching Conditions’ on the My Route top screen and check the conditions such as ‘walking speed’ and ‘form of public transport’ which have been selected.

For Route Searching, can I specify whether or not to use each of the various modes of public transport (express train, Shinkansen, etc.)?

You can specify modes of transport in ‘Route Searching Conditions.’
This can be done by tapping the ‘Route Searching Conditions’ icon on the My Route top screen to toggle the settings on and off.
You can also check the settings status for all search conditions by tapping ‘Other.’

What does ‘Save Route’ do? How can I create an itinerary?

After searching for a route, you can save it to your itinerary. Saving an itinerary allows you to review your plans later on and receive notification prior to your departure time. To create an itinerary, select a route from the Route Searching results and tap ‘Save this route’ to save that route to your ‘Itineraries’.

Furthermore, if you allow the app to connect to your smartphone’s calendar, you can automatically save itineraries to the standard iOS or Android calendar.
Be aware that deleting an itinerary does not delete it from your calendar.

OK

Can I receive notifications prior to departures and transfers?

If you tap ‘Save Route’ on the Route Details screen and select ‘Departure Notifications On’, you will be notified before departures. And if you tap ‘Start Guide’, the notification icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen will turn on, and you will be notified prior to transfer times.

My current location is not being displayed correctly.
